Received a sweet gift from a bride and groom * Enjoyed BEAUTIFUL weather for each of my August weddings * Got featured in The Knot Ohio * Enjoyed more fro yo (are you surprised?) * Got dressed up for a client meeting after spending days in my PJs * Visited Miami for an engagement session and wedding * Ate a delicious breakfast at Patterson's in Oxford (miss that place!) * Celebrated my mom's birthday * Went for many runs * Photographed the coolest literacy event for a non-profit * Had an AMAZING engagement session at the beach, complete with the perfect sunset * Held lots of client meetings in my office (2014 is looking good!) * Photographed two weddings with my sweet assistant Emily (love her!) * Jetted off to St. Lucia, and relaxed for one week on the most beautiful island
Baby Spencer | Newborn
Do you remember this cute, little guy? Well, he has a cute, little brother now! And they look SO much alike! I was beyond excited to visit this family again. This is the absolute best part of my job: getting to see kids grow, watch families change and really learn about people. I so enjoy getting to meet so many different people, and that includes baby Spencer! Enjoy his tininess!

St. Lucia | Travel
When I was little, my family would take a vacation once a year, and always to someplace different. At the time, I just wanted to go to the beach every year, but now that I'm older I really, really appreciate having had the chance to see so much of the world. I think that's what started the travel bug, and now I'm kinda obsessed. Thankfully, Nathan wants to travel with me too. :)
We recently took a MUCH needed trip to St. Lucia for our two-year anniversary. The beach and a new island to explore? The perfect combo! It was pure bliss to have a week to relax with Nathan and without responsibilities. The scenery was gorgeous, our resort was perfectly secluded and it was WARM (unlike Cleveland!). If you're planning a trip to St. Lucia, I highly recommend going in the off season when the prices are about half of what they are during busy season. It did rain off and on, but overall it was pretty perfect!

Breakfast was our favorite meal of the day. If you know us, you know that's not surprising. :)
And then we hiked to the top of one of the Pitons. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done. Glad I did it, won't do it again. ;)
Nicole & Chris | Outdoor Warren Ohio Wedding
My favorite thing about Nicole and Chris is how much they wear their hearts on their sleeves when it comes to each other. Not one minute went by on their big day where they weren't together or at least keeping an eye on each other. It was incredible to watch how present they were with each other while everything else was going on around them.
These two met in DC after Chris finished serving with the Peace Corps. Nicole is quick to mention that she actually asked him out on their first date as a thank you for helping her move. She is one smart lady.
"From the time we first started dating, I knew he was special," Nicole said. "His personality is infectious, and I loved his attitude and approach to life. Chris inspires me to be a better, more thoughtful person. He also is an amazing cook!"
Really, truly, I feel so lucky to have been asked to document your wedding, Nicole and Chris. Thank you for being so easygoing and infectiously happy. You two make the best couple!
