Amanda and Tyler are expecting their third girl. When I asked Tyler about it, he just laughed. He's outnumbered, but he's such a good dad and I don't think he minds TOO much. :) Amanda is due any day now (she was afraid she'd go into labor during our session!), and they're both so excited to meet their newest addition to the family. Baby Lucy came into the world a little earlier than expected. She's a tiny little thing--especially at 8 days old when she was photographed--but curious and feisty (check out that karate kick down below!) and sleepy, of course. She is a lucky lady to be born to Jen and Matt, who so obviously adore her and want to make her the happiest little girl on earth. I love these soft, light photos and think they're perfect for this baby girl.

This little girl is Baby Lane's cousin. I bet they'll grow up being the best of friends.
The perfect little snowflakes were falling outside while Cristy and Denney were settled inside Jeni's surrounded by family. We laughed about eating ice cream when it was 20 degrees outside, but we all agreed that there's never a bad time for Jeni's. Coffee arrived to warm cold hands and we ventured outside for some snowy engagement and family photos.
These are some favorites. I've learned to absolutely love shooting in the snow, and put a wonderful family in that snow? Perfection.

It was a cold and snowy December day when I arrived at the E family's house, ready to take pictures of their brand-new baby girl. Inside the house it was warm and oh-so-cozy, just right for little Belen. This little lady was just a few days old when she was photographed. She was SO easy to work with, and I had fun capturing all her facial expressions. I'm also convinced she's going to be a dancer or a gymnast because she kept her legs moving and her hands were constantly poised (see above … all you gymnasts know what I'm talking about!).
Every time I do a newborn session, I love it more and more. Enjoy my favorites from Miss Belen's session, with appearances from her brother, Logan.
